Mike Hughes

Chief Executive Officer

Mike Hughes is the Chief Executive Officer of Exchange Solutions. Mike is responsible for leading the business, technology, operations, analytics, and administration functions of the company.

Mike is a seasoned executive with a long track record of success, leading organizations through rapid growth and expansion. As a senior operations and financial executive, Mike raised over $800 million in public and private financings, built companies from early stage through large scale growth and managed several highly successful exits.

Prior to his role at Exchange Solutions, Mike served as Chief Financial Officer and operating executive for several software companies, including Vertica Systems Inc., which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard. Mike also held executive level operating and finance positions at two telecommunications companies, both of which completed IPOs and were acquired by AT&T and KPN respectively.

Mike has broad high tech experience including: SAAS and enterprise software (Database, IT and Retail Systems), advanced analytics, marketing technology and telecommunications services. He earned his MBA in Finance from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy from Bentley University.

Shane O'Neil

Chief Technology Officer

Shane O'Neil is a technology leader at the intersection of AI, SaaS, and enterprise loyalty. As CTO at Exchange Solutions, he's driving an engineering and cultural shift toward AI-powered delivery—using generative and agentic systems across architecture, development, QA, operations, and product strategy. His focus is simple: build intelligent, scalable platforms that help major brands grow loyalty and revenue in real time.

With a career spent building and scaling marketing automation and customer engagement systems across B2B and B2C, Shane brings deep experience in data-driven personalization and real-time decisioning. His early work in machine learning and data science at Primal shaped his practical approach to applied AI, which he now uses to modernize Exchange Solutions' platform—from serverless and event-driven infrastructure to AI-augmented analytics and automation tools that remove friction across the organization.

Before joining Exchange Solutions, Shane led teams at DoubleClick Email and served as CTO at Lavalife. He holds a degree in Economics from McMaster University and is known for building high-performing teams grounded in clarity, ownership, curiosity, and measurable impact.

Brenda Higuchi

Senior Vice President, Analytics and Optimization

Brenda Higuchi charts Exchange Solutions' journey into applications powered by Advanced Analytics. Her extensive leadership and consultative experience in data analytics and loyalty program design enhances the team's abilities to usher key accounts into the future of customer engagement and loyalty. Brenda leads her team in the design, build and operation of advanced analytics and machine learning applications that are fully integrated with our technology for powering Loyalty and Personalized Offers Solutions.

As a leader in the design and launch of programs such as SCENE and myHusky Rewards, Brenda has the credentials and experience to shape solutions that allow clients to stay customer-obsessed by harnessing the power of transactional and behavioral data for achieving customer engagement and loyalty goals.

Brenda has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Statistics from McMaster University and the University of Toronto respectively. She is passionate about evolving her education and experience with Executive Education programs from the Harvard Business School.

Susan Kovacic

Vice President, Human Resources

Susan Kovacic is an accomplished Human Resources leader with deep expertise in building and executing people strategies that enable organizational growth and success. Since joining Exchange Solutions in 2011, Susan has been a key member of the leadership team, orchestrating people initiatives that strengthen culture, build alignment, and enable sustainable business growth.

Her leadership approach emphasizes empowerment, strategic partnership, and a people-first culture that drives both performance and engagement. Susan is recognized for her consultative and human-centered approach to leadership, fostering an environment where employees are encouraged to thrive and contribute meaningfully to shared goals.

Prior to joining Exchange Solutions, Susan held Human Resources roles at Teknion Corporation and Alliance Communications, where she developed a strong foundation in talent management, learning and development, and employee relations. These early experiences provided the grounding that informs her leadership today in advancing change and culture evolution, elevating organizational effectiveness, and shaping high-performing teams in fast-growing, dynamic environments.

Rich Stoller

Vice President, Finance

Rich Stoller is a strategic finance and operations leader with over two decades of experience driving financial performance and operational efficiency in high-growth technology companies. As Vice President of Finance, he oversees financial planning and analysis, accounting, and strategic decision-making to support the company's growth.

Prior to joining Exchange Solutions, Rich held senior finance roles at several technology firms, including Influitive, Trilio Data, and Virtual Computer, where he played a key role in financial forecasting, venture fundraising, and M&A transactions. He has a strong track record of optimizing financial operations, developing data-driven insights, and partnering with executive teams to drive business success.

Rich holds an MBA from Babson College and a BBA in Finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
